NEW! See a video preview of part of this resource below... This is part of a series of lessons for KS2 or KS3 maths on Averages. This lesson introduces the Range. All four averages lessons are listed separately OR as one short unit of work at a discounted price, just check my other resources! The PowerPoint introduces the range average then gives two teacher led activities to guide students through working out the mode. After each teacher led part, the students get a chance to try themselves, where they can ask questions or even work in pairs, these appear at the top of their handout. After discovering what the range is and having a go with help, students are given an independent task to work out the range. An answer sheet is provided for the teacher too, and all answers pop up on the PowerPoint itself! The lesson is reviewed by students feeding back at the bottom of their handout. All images are either royalty free or made by myself (those coins and football shirts took some work!). Enjoy ;-)

ICT or Computing / Computer Science Wired vs Wireless Connections Booklet & PPT

This lesson introduces students to the different connections available for digital devices (wired and wireless connections). Students should mind map their own ideas first, before answers are revealed (click on the slide to reveal answers!). Students must then research OR use the support sheet to group advantages and disadvantages of each connection type. On the back page of the booklet is a review of the lesson where students must decide on the BEST method of connection; there are more answers, but the IDEAL answer is shown on the PowerPoint itself and students should be told this! Enjoy!

KS2 KS3 French MFL Food Topic - Les Fruits - Fruit - TWO activities, presentation/classroom display!

Ideally suited to KS2 or KS3 French lessons, though would be equally good for KS4 lower abilities. This resource introduces French names of nine common fruits in a PowerPoint show. As always, masculine and feminine nouns are colour coded throughout the resource. The PowerPoint would be equally useful for classroom display/keyword wall or printing four to a page for flash cards. Alongside the PowerPoint is a match-up activity. Print this onto card and laminate for longevity or print on paper and get students to glue the matches in their exercise books. As a game, there's also a 'dominoes' activity and instructions. Printing and laminating this means it can be used over and over. Enjoy.

End of Term / Secondary Induction FUN Lesson - Create a PowerPoint Maze Game (Scary or Nice)!

Update: The files marked NEW! include a template for this resource which already has the hyperlinks included in PowerPoint; so if you’re tight on time, students can still make use of this resource without having to learn how to make links. Along with this are 6 challenges (differentiated) and a log for students to complete and take with them - PERFECT for Year 6 Induction in a computer room/IT/Computing lesson. As it’s the end of term, this fun activity still gets students learning about how to add hyperlinks into PowerPoint presentations. The scary maze can be changed for Santa’s maze, if you’re aiming to do something ‘Christmassy’! The activity gets students to create a version of the ‘scary maze game’ (Google it!). They find a scary image that, if their users hit the wall of their maze, will flash on the screen (after slides are linked). I don’t want students having nightmares though, so I have provided an alternative ‘nicer maze game’ too! Included is a student handout, PowerPoint to act as a short lesson guide (two versions - scary and nicer) as well as a scream sound for students to use if placed on a shared area. As always, feedback is welcome! Enjoy! *Copyright - I either own everything or it comes from an acknowledged, royalty free source!

Key terms/words challenge! Great plenary or starter activity for ANY subject. PPT runs itself too!

See a video of this resource below! SUCH VALUE FOR MONEY… USE OVER & OVER AGAIN!! This plenary or starter activity gives students thirty seconds to remember ten key terms/words from the lesson or a previous lesson. Students then have forty-five seconds to recall as many of the words as they can - teachers could also insist on correct spellings to add a literacy element to the activity. It comes with sounds, which I hope work. All teachers have to do prior to a lesson is change the key words to be relevant to the subject/lesson they’re teaching. All text/ideas are mine. Images are public domain if not created by me and the backing music is royalty free. Enjoy.

What's the Question - Engaging and Adaptable MATHS starter! ANY AGE!

This 10 slide PowerPoint is a range of SIMILAR starter or plenary activities. See the video preview below. Can be used OVER and OVER again, so well worth the dollar. The first slides are grids with ANSWERS. Your students need to give the QUESTIONS. Great for questioning, great for differentiation/selecting specific students to answer. There's a version of the same starter which involves splitting your group into two teams to make the activity even more engaging. The slides are fully interactive to allow you to change the numbers RED or BLUE depending on which team gets a point. To ensure longevity of the resource, and the ability to use it LOADS of times with the SAME group, the starters have also been adapted to give questions for students to answer, just to shake things up a bit. Enjoy!

Start-Up and Running Costs - GCSE Business Studies - Full lesson, lesson plan and 3 handouts!

This is another in my 'Let's Learn' series. The lesson gets students to think about their initial ideas before introducing start-up and running costs so progress can easily be judged. The lesson PowerPoint is equally good for revision if printed or made available electronically so it's even more of a bargain! There are two main activities (one is an exam style question assessment that can be peer marked with teacher guidance. The lesson plan is included to guide teachers through every step of the lesson. Enjoy!
Break-Even Introduction (Business Studies)

Break-Even Introduction (Business Studies)

DO NOT buy if you already have my Cambridge National Resource or my OCR Homework Booklet! This is a generic introduction to Break-Even and would nicely follow my lesson on Fixed and Variable Costs (not introduced in this lesson). Two activities relating to Break-Even. Full lesson PowerPoint.
Sole trader Business Ownership FULL lesson includes assessment, lesson plan presentation & handout!

Sole trader Business Ownership FULL lesson includes assessment, lesson plan presentation & handout!

(0)
Everything you need to teach Sole traders and teach it well - perfect for an observation. Differentiated learning outcomes included on the presentation. The presentation would also be useful printed as some stage for revision for your learners. The two activities include sorting advantages and disadvantages of sole trader ownership and an extended writing question. The lesson includes marking sheets that have space to match the work completed in this lesson to success criteria and space to give WWW and EBi (gap task). This really is value for money. To get even more value, use the plenary from the last slide in some of your other lessons - it's not lesson specific and is quite a nice end to any lesson. Enjoy!
GCSE Computer Science - Computer Legislation Activities (Data Protection Act etc.) Differentiated

GCSE Computer Science - Computer Legislation Activities (Data Protection Act etc.) Differentiated

(0)
Two activities to introduce five laws to students. I teach low ability GCSE Computer Science, and this is perfect for them. Specifically mapped to OCR Computer Science J276, though good for any lessons covering these five laws: - Data Protection Act 1998 - Computer Misuse Act 1990 - Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988 - Creative Commons Licensing - Freedom of Information Act 2000 There are TWO activities here which make teaching this (slightly dull) topic easier. 1. Laws Jigsaw - Print on A3. Students cut out all pieces and connect to make 5 jigsaws, one about each law. There's an answer sheet which I stick at the front if students struggle they're allowed a peek! 2. Laws Summary - Students fill in the missing words. Answers are provided to discuss. There is also a help sheet with potential words to use; this is again stuck at the front and students are allowed one or two peeks whilst completing the task. There are TWO versions of the sheet, one with letter prompts to make it easier. The harder one is good because students often use different words, so good for discussion. Enjoy.

Introduction to Stakeholders - GCSE Business Studies - Fully differentiated & resourced lesson!

(0)
Let’s learn about… Stakeholders! This lesson is FULLY resourced with a FULL lesson plan. It would suit a double lesson because of the amount of activities involved, though some could be used for homework or the lesson could be adapted for two single periods. 1. Starter - name all groups interested in the school 2. Introduce stakeholders 3. Who is each group? Differentiated. 4. What interest does each group have? Differentiated. 5. Birmingham Airport Case Study 6. Exit tickets to review understanding/learning Suits year 9 or year 10 students who have never covered stakeholders before. Enjoy!

A FULL lesson on Business Pricing Strategies. DO NOT buy if you've got my Cambridge Nationals resource. This resource is not tailored to any specification or age group, ideal for all! Includes Penetration Pricing, Cost Plus, Price Skimming, Psychological Pricing and Competitive Pricing Strategies. Includes introductions to each, a note taking activity and a review activity to apply knowledge. The notes pages can also be printed for accessible revision if needed for GCSE or 'A' Level exams. All top quality. Enjoy.
Business Ownership Puzzle, Review & Worksheet
brad-ashleybrad-ashley

Business Ownership Puzzle, Review & Worksheet

(0)
This resource depends on you teaching Business Ownership first (sole traders, partnerships and companies). Students should be given a printed version of the puzzle (the one with two pages). I get them to work in pairs as they can both be cutting at the same time to reduce ‘cutting time’. They both cut out one of the pages then get to work creating a triangle solution by connecting matching statements. There is only ONE way the puzzle will become a triangle correctly, so it’s trial and error but a GREAT task to consolidate learning of Business Ownership topic. I then get learners to stick their puzzles down on A3 paper (two sheets, because it just sticks over one A3 page). Alternatively, you could cut the puzzle and laminate for year on year use. I’ve included the solution. To ensure ALL students can access it, I print the solution on A3 paper and stick it in the corridor. Each pair gets a few chances to go out and take a peek, if needed. Finally, I’ve included a plenary to review the tarsia puzzle and a homework true or false activity on Business Ownership, this might work well as a homework task to see what students have learnt from the puzzle. Enjoy!

Stakeholders, Conflict and Resolving Conflict - FULL, differentiated lesson

(1)
This lesson includes an editable lesson plan, PowerPoint for display, group work task, extension tasks, G&T task AND lower ability task. The lesson starts by recapping or introducing stakeholder groups. Students have a challenge to name or identify as many groups as possible. Students are then introduced to conflict with a scenario of a new supermarket opening locally. They must work in groups to focus on one stakeholder group each. This is discussed as a class. Conflict is discussed then an activity concludes the lesson on resolving the potential conflicts identified. Enjoy.

House Brick Challenge Lesson - Business / Primary Induction

A fun resource, and very adaptable. Perfect for year 6 induction, team building sessions, GCSE Business Induction session or PSHE lesson on Enterprise. So many different uses - and suitable for a range of ages. The session gets students to come up with a new product that turns the humble house brick into something everyone wants! Fully resourced. No need for a computer if you’re teaching in a classroom - just some basic art supplies (pencils/crayons etc.). This resource includes a student example, student hand out, instructions and PowerPoint display. Enjoy.

**SAMPLE AVAILABLE** If you want to see the quality of this resource, the lesson plan is available within my free resources. Perhaps download/view this before making your purchase. This resource includes a FULL lesson - would fill a 'double' session, or more, if needed. The slides are also GREAT for revision if printed or made available electronically to your learners. TWO student handouts are included as well as a full lesson plan. The slides introduce company ownership (both types of limited company) and include a paired task, independent task, case study questions, differentiated glossary (focus on literacy) and plenary. Plenty to keep learners focused and a really good resource for teaching GCSE Business Studies Company ownership. Lessons on sole traders and partnerships are also available in the same theme and to the same quality standard. A bundle for all three is also available, if you like the look of this lesson! Enjoy!
